While I agree that they will not amend the 2A, I do think the SCOTUS will eventually rule that the 'well regulated militia' part is important and that firearm ownership is limited to members of a well regulated militia. The number of mass murders are on the increase and this problem is not going to get better until we do something about it. More and more people are being personally effected by it, and unfortunately it seems that is what it takes for people to realize that it is a problem. The tipping point is coming. Society will change when it does.

I think I have made my view quite clear in this thread about the 14th amendment and I'm not going to repeat myself here. You are welcome to go back and read it if you desire.

As for the 2nd amendment, No I think it is just fine the way it is. Gun laws and regulation do however need to be enforced along with improved background investigations. Some things need to be outlawed such as bump stocks, extended magazines ... I do not think a weapon should be outlawed because it "looks like" a military assault weapon.

While certain weapons are better suited to mass casualty events than others the depressing reality of gun violence in America is that most of it occurs with pretty pedestrian weapons. Sure we might be able to crack down on things like the Vegas shooting and that’s great, but the daily slaughter will continue until we fundamentally rethink things.

the horrible truth is they have been practicing firing the babies out of their womb and directly onto american soil. It only requires a small mortar crew of 2 migrants to man the anchor baby machines.
