Knowing Obama and his will to co operate, I believe he will offer Mitt a post or job of some type in his administration. After all, Mitt was pretty successful at the Olympic thing I hear. I'd have to see the actual facts and details from that, but sounds like Mitt could be of some use.
So do not be surprised if an announcement comes in early January that Mitt will join the administration in some capacity. And I would bet Mitt will accept if offered.
That can only be the reason Obama wishes to meet face to face with Mitt.
If it were just a pleasantries thing, they could have done that in a private setting.
Yes... Obama has an offer for the Wiley cayote I'd wager.
But you will have to wait until January to find out.

I am hoping he doesn't especially after winning his second term with an Electoral landslide.Now it is time for me and my fellow progressives to put President Obama's feet to the fire so he actually governs in a Progressive manor. I think that's going to be a BIG job.

I suspect Republicans/Conservatives are hoping Obama goes full tilt hard left/progressive as it means chances will be greater to win seats in the mid terms and not see a Democrat in the White House come January 2017

DERP DERP they didn't get rich by being stupid. They aren't going to become stupid and start paying incredibly higher taxes. Just like when people bitch about how much Walmart pays - I tell them to bitch to the government to raise minimum wage. And why haven't they done that given all the outcry? Probably because the more you push them, the more likely you will find new jobs overseas and more unemployed.

Knowing Romney he will show up with actual facts and numerical data. What I think really needs to be done is that every current deduction and entitlement and tax credit needs to be graded to determine which actual deductions and credits if cut or altered would create the most revenue broken down by income levels or tax brackets. I am for a more balanced and sensible approach to this.

On a side note, in the UK they raised taxes on millionairs and now they have less millionairs. This means their tax revenue dropped. Unlike people that work for their money the rich can often just move to another country to avoid paying taxes. You can trade stock from places like Island paradises, South America, and poor old soviet block countries and even South Korea. I could even see Cuba being a nice location if they would foster corporate headquarters there.
