Oh

Oh God, take the gauze away from your eyes/ears. Or get cataract surgery, don't know what your problem is, but Biden's 1000x better than Trump.
I was waiting for him to answer fski's question because he calls Biden a turd but then says he has no problems with him personally, so it must be the policy that makes him a turd?

I was wondering at the start of this thread (and so happy about it!!!) that the conservative trolls were absent. I hoped they'd stay away, it was so much fun then. Later the trolls came down from their trees or out of their caves or wherever they hibernate and the infections festered until the thread was just a bleeding mess of troll whatevers (I don't see that because I had them already, or just added to me ignore list... anyone who wants my ignore list, just PM me). I didn't unignore anything.
Haha, that reminds me of the story of the sad fox that fell asleep in a black fly swamp, awakening with barely enough blood left to breathe. A Good Samaritan wondering by offered to shoo them away but the fox begged him not to. “These flies are all full of ny blood and if you shoo them off, hungry ones will take their place.

Trolls and a little red wine and a loaf of bread. Yummy! The flies won’t notice you’re there.

That would be American Idiot, the title of one of their early albums.
Yeah, that would be the one but I never considered it "early" for them... I lost interest in them after their second album.

Trump said in the debate the “Portland Sheriff supports him. Then Mike Reese - "As the Multnomah County Sheriff I have never supported Donald Trump and will never support him.”

Biden didn't respond to that stuff, Trump stridently claiming that every law enforcement entity in the country endorses him. He just looked down with a quizzical expression on what little of his face you could see. Doesn't surprise me that Trump just made it up. The one person he ID'd, Mike Reese, comes and and says he never has and never will support him. It's just total bullshit from Trump. It's incredible to me that he can make up things to say out of thin air, absolute lies, there's no evidence anywhere to support them, such as the rampant voter fraud involving mail in ballots. He made all that up. He pretends there's evidence for his assertions but very often there's absolutely no evidence. It's just lies. ONE BIG LIE

This song is by band whose name is based on the media character Mr. T, not The Donald, so that's a coincidence. But the song title is the thing:

Me too, actually. American Idiot is, I think, their first major label release, and I never got into it. I love their first two albums and bought them both on LP:

39 Smooth
Kerplunk!

I have never paid attention to what they did when they moved from there to major label releases and became super famous. I love those first two albums to the max, though. Lookout! Records releases.

Are you joking? Liberals can only answer questions with truth, truth conservatives have flippant ready made gut reaction alternet reality answers to all pre programmed into their brainwashed stooge supporters. In order to for a liberal to answer a guest ion a a low level thinking conservative can understand, the listeners need many many years of de-programming and re-education in critical thinking. No liberal can answer questions to in a room full of savages and fools. Just look at how you respond when I tell you you’re one of them.

How are you going to think when all you feel is offense? How many conservatives are going to be willing to see they incapable of understanding the answers to the questions they already wrongly assume they have themselves answered.

Save yourself the trouble and go tie yourself inside a paper bag and enjoy, instead, trying to punch your way out.

So there is your answer. See what good it did for you? Nada, Pal, but it’s not your fault. And when you know that you won’t need to ask.
Then Biden should have no problem answering where he stands on packing the Supreme Court, which is a legitimate question for him to answer.

It's certainly a legitimate question, but I don't think he wins anything by directly answering it. Voters are myopic - best to keep the focus on Trump and his utter failure as a president and human being.

Their Foxboro Hot Tubs album was quite good. I don't much care for their Green Day material.

We should also note that attacks by ANTIFA members have been tied to exactly zero deaths in the last 25 years as compared to hundreds by white supremacist groups.
OK, I'd like point out that anti-antifa translates linguistically to pro-fascist. So, Trump's trying to vilify antifa is logically the same thing as saying his all about fascism.

Biden could skip the next two debates and face zero fallout for that decision. Trump has been afforded every opportunity to revive his Presidency, and failed to rise to the occasion every time.

I think a better analogy is two combatants agree to rules while threatening to hit below the belt and taking opportunistic cheap shots that slowly undermine the entire premise. One fighter finally decides to kick down the entire facade and strike below the belt, and the other fighter cries foul because it caused him to lose the fight.

The debate reminded me of those WWF pre-fight interviews, Randy Savage was more articulate, oh yeah.
Man, you need to lay off the juice... or whatever it is that's got your perception hazy. You didn't pick up on what was really happening. Work on that.

Trump won the presidency by acting like a total jerk. And, that did produce the tv ratings. Donald knows how it works quite well indeed. Come-on.... you know you will tune in for future debates if only to watch Donald Trump go crazy. People like watching car wrecks and they like watching Donald Trump act like a child. For the base, this is the non-establishment candidate that they so desperately hoped for. The guy to thumb his nose at the establishment. However, the last laugh is on them because just wait until those high court decisions decided by Amy Coney Barrett start hitting their kitchen tables. THEN they will think twice.

When someone wants to make a fool out of themselves hurry up and get out of their way. The base? He could nuke them and the remainder would still vote for him. You won't, I won't so nothing changes but the nominally disinterested aren't that way.

Funny how you condemn Biden for those things about him that are most like Republicans and do so in defense of a first class piece of human garbage. Just because you can’t see yourself doesn’t mean you aren’t completely transparent to others.
Just put GotNoMindAtAll on ignore, it'll calm your nerves.

IIRC Trump said law enforcement, not military. Biden has plenty of support in the military. Not so much law enforcement.
Great reason to lean away from the excessive dependency on police departments across to country to handle civilian problems. If the only thing done when a problematical situation arises is to send in black clad ill-trained personnel with guns and handcuffs, night sticks and pepper spray, tasers and sometimes body cams just what kind of public sentiment can you expect from residents concerning local government?

Hell he even stayed away from family for the most part. As soon as Trump brought up Biden, I thought he was going to point out the fact that like 3/4ths of his family was sitting at the bottom of the stage without masks on, and they all work in the Whitehouse.
Joe was an absolute boy scout in comparison.

He just couldn't do it. Now the proud boys use it in their logo/slogans - "Stand back. Stand by" / "standing down and standing by"
A whole lot of people are not comfortable unless they feel they are part of a large group.

But Trump couldn't even say something even if it was a lie. Imagine a guy who's lied like 10,000 times in 3.5 years couldn't lie for once? I was in shock how hard Biden and the moderator were trying to get him to speak out.

And the result of what he said? A group of rednecks took it as it's time to grab their shotguns and prepare for battle.
Final analysis: Trump is one sick fuck.

Trump doesn't get to ask the questions. Biden was not obliged to reply.
Yeah, I remember one from high school: It's better to keep your mouth shut and have people suspect you're an idiot than to open it and remove all doubt. Joe should have been prepared for that one. He (and his crew) will know better for the next one if it happens. But him remaining silent because he didn't have a retort wasn't some horrible mistake. Biden wasn't perfect but his opponent was close to a complete disaster.

Not obliged, but some were relevant questions that a good moderator would ask and he should be prepared to answer.
That question was not one that the moderator would have asked, no way in the world: What law enforcement organizations are endorsing you? No way in the world.

Just put GotNoMindAtAll on ignore, it'll calm your nerves.

Just put everyone on ignore that disagrees with your opinion.

Then you will live in blissful harmony where everyone loves you and agrees with everything you say. No one will ever dare disagree or give you criticism on your amazing opinions that have zero factual basis.

Good ol' confirmation bias at its finest.

Hey by the way - have you considered joining the bubble?

Another frustrating aspect is that I tend to deal with friends that like to act centrist/impartial, but they tend to show their true colors when presenting outlandish remarks/evidence for their reasoning. An example would be how they suggest that Biden has dementia, or how given Biden's age, Harris will end up being the President. That usually devolves into stuff like "taking our guns" and other slippery-slope arguments that just don't make a ton of sense. The hard part for me is that they often bring up some random thing that I've never heard of, and I prefer not arguing about something that I don't know about, so I normally just have to concede with a remark like "I haven't heard about that." That sometimes leads to a "that's because the mainstream media is suppressing it!" I had that remark come up in regard to Middle East peace talks.
Why bother indulging these people? Do they deserve your friendship? Prevaricators with unsupportable personal agendas. If you make it plain that you abhor those tendencies they'll be forced to wonder why. If they haven't the honesty and imagination to realize, why are you investing yourself if maintaining "friendship" with them?

Maybe he doesn’t know, because he isn’t president and talking with advisors whom he’d actually listen to about what to do about that situation.
