question: historically, have the presidential debates had a substantial effect on the the preliminary polls before the debates?
(pardon my political ignorance)

oh my, Kerry is picking up the pace and beginning to really dig into Bush. Bush is getting really nervous, you can see it in his eyes. Bush is slouching, Kerry is standing straight as a president should. Body language says a lot!
so is bush, hes just a tiny little stuttering bush.
MIKE
nourdmrolNMT1 what can we do to convince you that Bush isn't the right guy?

MIKE
Well I'm just interested in why your 80% for Bush and not Kerry. If you could please enlighten me in a few short sentences. I just want to know.

bush got a big bump against gore, but of course, if his brother hadn't cheated in FA, bush jr would never have been president.

Anyone else noticed that (on cspan at least) they have bush's podium shifted up a lot to maintain equal head space. is bush much shorter than kerry?

When they came up at the beginning and shook hands, it looked that way. maybe 5-6" difference, but that's a wild guess.
