I personally find it odd that people actually want to go to these rallies. But then again I don't really give a shit about politics, I'm just here for the lulz.

Is this a veiled sponsored post? How much is Wheat Thins paying you?!? If not Nabisco maybe its someone else? I've noticed how they're selling "thin" versions of all the junk food (tell them the dark chocolate Reese's are actually pretty good and a decent way to control portion sizes, although definitely getting ripped off as its like 2-3 times the price, and so much plastic wrapper waste).

Is anyone else having the problem with Bold text not working? All the others work but if I try to highlight something as bold it doesn't.

To answer OP question superficially - this was a fundraising event not a rally open to the public. Being on the mailing list for Mayor Pete's campaign I can say most of these events entail like a $100 contribution or something to attend. That lends itself to professional class white folks attending since for them that's a trivial amount of money. Perhaps not so much of a "trivial amount" for the locals if he's holding the event in a poorer minority area.

As for why Mayor Pete is showing low poll numbers for blacks, I don't know. Perhaps in part because he's still a relative newcomer with low name recognition. Perhaps blacks honestly prefer the policy positions of someone like Biden (I don't get that personally, but hard to rule it out). Or maybe he's just not the voice that most black Democrat voters are looking for right now. Impossible to know at this point with the Dem field still being so large.
