Its truly sad to be killed and god know what all happened to her before before her death. nothing could be worse for the parents. Given that she was barely 18, in a foreign country alone with her other teenager friends, out in the beach after midnight with a total stranger, outside the safe zone in a 3rd world country, but one of that excuses murder and possibly worse, I have full sympathy for her and her parents. But what I said earlier has to do with this still being a news. She is not the only teenager to die in this fashion, but the only one whose disappearance anniversary is marked by every news network and was carried by not only every news outlet but their top journalists. THAT is the power of rich parents, nothing wrong with it, every parent will do whatever that can for their offspring in their own way, but in this case their money IS a factor in this still being on the news.
That Van Der Sloot guy (or whatever his name was) probably killed her. He's now rotting in a Peruvian jail, so at least there's some justice.
