Well, I don't need a vid card -- unless its a Ti4600 -- but I figured I would pass this along.

Dell has 20% off System Upgrades, and free ground shipping on a $99.

They also have the Geforce3 Ti200 for sale at $169. Link

It does not indicate what brand it is -- and also, the picture is of a Radeon 8500. But it does say its in stock.

When you add it to your cart 20% (or $33.80) is deducted -- bringing your total to $135.20 shipped (plus tax in TX and NC I think).

Got through Ebates as save an extra 2%.

I hope this wasn't posted before -- as I don't have my flame retardant suit handy.

<editorial> It's really sad when you have to fear posting a hot deal because of all the knucklehead flamers and idiots whose sole role in life is to write "repost" in every thread. </editorial>

Enjoy.

Nice find, but you might want to edit your post so it says GeForce3 instead of 2. =]

Plus tax in Florida too. $144.66 shipped to me, not that I'm planning to get one, but my roommate might have at $135.

Curse you, Dell, for charging me tax just because you have a distribution center 6 hours south of me!

"good deal...

must wait for Geforce4....

must wait "

I'm in the same boat. I ordered a G4 TI4400 from that Gateway deal and am on the backordered list. Very hard to wait especially when you don't know when your order will be shipped.

Not bad. It doesn't have any heatsinks on it, so don't even think about overclocking this card until you mod it. For $135, it's a really good value if you're looking for a fairly powerful video card. All but the most hardcore PC gamers will be thrilled with this card.

I added it in Small Business and it didn't give me any discount at all, in Home it only gave me 10%.

Dell site is being really random. Sometimes I'll get 20% other, 10%. So I guess you guys should just keep trying. Closing browser and reopening. I dunno.

Yeah. You'll get a big performance boost over your Creative GF2.

Here's the skinny on GF video cards:

"MX" series cards are the bargain cards. They are weaker, and cheaper.

"TI" means it's a good card. The only difference I've noted is this: The GeForce 3 TI200 is the weakest GeForce 3, but it's still very powerful, and it's considered the best deal right now.

Something else important: These new GeForce 4s are coming out, and there's something important you need to know. The GF4 MX series are really just a bunch of GF2s. They're overpriced. However, the GeForce 4 TI series is very impressive.

Here's a list, strongest to weakest ESTIMATIONS (some of these are not released yet):

1. GeForce 4 TI4600
2. GeForce 4 TI4400
3. GeForce 4 TI4200
4. GeForce 3 TI500
5. GeForce 3
6. GeForce 3 TI200
7. GeForce 4 MX460
8. GeForce 2 Ultra
9. GeForce 2 Pro 64MB
10. GeForce 4 MX 440
11. GeForce 2 GTS
12. GeForce 2 DDR
13. GeForce 4 MX420
14. GeForce 2 MX400
15. GeForce 256
16. GeForce 2 MX200

Once again, these are ESTIMATIONS for most real-world gaming performance. There are many, many variables that factor into how good a card is overall. I'm pretty knowledgeable about this stuff though, so you can pretty much use this as a seat-of-your-pants sort of guide.

Right now the best deal is the GeForce 3 TI200. Monstrous performance, great overclockability, low price.

Soon, the GeForce 4 TI4200 will come out, and I'm predicting it to be the best buy on the market. It'll probably retail for $199, and it will have most of the performance of its big brothers.
