As some of you may know the 2002 - 2004 GMC Envoy and Chevy Trailblazer had issues where the fuel tank would rust out on the top near where the fuel pump is attached. This area has a slight recess where liquids can accumulate and not roll off. This is especially bad if you're in a northern state where a lot of road salt is used in the winter.
I'm getting the tank and fuel pump replaced. Is there coating or material that can be applied to those areas that rusted out on the original tank/pump to try and lessen or slow down the same process from happening again?
