for the drive faces, two words:

vinyl dye.

it's far more forgiving than regular spray paint, dries a lot quicker too-

it's best to use several lighter coats, and generally a matte finish will go better with most front black bezels.

Not to necessarily knock Enermax, but I tend to feel it's overpriced for what you get;

A 300 Watt Sparkle rates better output on the +5V & +3.3V lines (200W) than many 350-400 watt power supplies in the same class; the 350 Watt rates at 220W.

For a long time, PC Power & Cooling Power Supplies were rebadged Fortron/Source, which is the main supplier for the Sparkle name. (or so I seem to remember)

Price drop, now $49 with free shipping.

They have a variety of Chieftec cases including server cases, cases with side windows, cases with side fans, etc, most are the same $49 with free shipping. Go to newegg.com and search for Chieftec.

To Seizure, re the full length card brackets: years ago, some PC cards were much longer than they are today, maybe 12" or 13" long. The cards still had the plug-in fingers only in the first few inches, so the ends of the cards, heavy with components, could flop around when you moved the box. The plastic brackets were to stop that. They were just little plastic guides that attached to the front side of the case. They had slots in them, such that you first slid the card into these slots, then down to plug into the motherboard.

Look at the page linked below, and find figure 3 about 1/4 down the page for an image of a card guide in use.

Generally, auto supply stores like Pep Boys, Autozone, or Murray's, maybe even Wal-Mart (depending upon where you are in the country) should carry vinyl dye, though it's usually called "Vinyl Color".

The sort I've used is made by Plasti-Kote, and it comes in both a black (more gloss) and a matte black (closer to the look/texture used by most black plastic bezels)..it's opaque, and comes in a few other colors as well, including a semi-gloss aluminum color that goes very well with aluminum cases. I have heard of some other outfits that will mix custom colors, though I've heard those are more translucent, and don't have the same finish as the Plasti-Kote.

Used in several light coats, You would be hard pressed to find a difference between a true black plastic drive cover and a vinyl dyed drive cover..It won't cover up fine details like recessed details (compact disc logo, dvd logo, etc) nearly to the same extent as spray paint will, and doesn't have any special prep work that needs to be done to it, aside from the plastic being fairly clean--that can be done with simple water and a little bit of soap.

ranges around $5.00 USD per can, ought to last for several drive faces though.

They must be clearing these out for the II series with front USB and firewire ports. If you want front ports, wait.
