It should work (I have never done it mind you), but you will need to make sure that all redundant functionality is disabled and that it is cabled properly. Configuration may prove to be a little complex.

d-link must be dumping those 802.11b products since they've just released 802.11b+ products.
the price of this wireless ap+router+1 port lan is like a wired router+4 port lan now, even you don't need wireless, should buy this one instead of wired router unless there is a $20 wired router deal.

buy this now, and buy the 802.11b card or usb adapter later, their price will drop crazily soon.

802.11b+ is supposed to reach 22Mbps (twice regular 802.11b), but I understand it to be totally proprietary. This means that you need to buy all D-Link 802.11b+ equipment in order to play that game. I imagine that it is backwards compatible with 802.11b, but I don't that it is for sure.
