That thing looks KICK BUTT!!

A few links I found:
This is a pic of what the LCD can display:

A pic of what is actually included:
http://www.steves-digicams.com/images6/bc900_outfit.jpg
(the C and D cell adapters are so you can use AA batteries in things that need C and D, keep in mind you will have to recharge them more frequently since C/D have more capacity), if you need more of these adapters, computergeeks.com is having a sale on them.

This also has some information on it:

A review (not as detailed as some of the amazon lol):

Here's a AA battery shootout if you need help choosing some batts:

A shootout for the more technically inclined (includes some odd sizes and C and D):

It's one of the best chargers out there, I've read. Lots of gizmos and widgets. Was gonna order one from Thomas Distrbuting, but this is a LOT cheaper. Thanks!

Its very tempting, but I popped a few months ago for a Maha 204 for about $20 shipped with 4x 1600ish Nimhs. I figure the chargers keep changing and dropping in price, plus I don't OWN $40 worth of batteries. Still tempting, 4x displays high geekness.

Amazon:
Product Dimensions: 20000.0 pounds

Heh, I'm looking for a new charger myself.
Wonder if I should jump on his deal.

Shipping'll totally kill the deal

I don't really need a new charger, but I might have to get it just so I've got the option to recharge Cs and Ds down the line

I think its only about $4 cheaper than them. Is that a lot?

Read carefully the description and look at the product and pics (and manual if you have to). It has adapters to put AA's into C/D shells. I dont think it can charge C or D.

Devistatr is right. It doesn't charge C/D's. And yes, it's only $4 cheaper, but Thomas Distributing also charges shipping, so it's actually about $8 cheaper. And for a $40 product, that's 20%. It's a lot to me.

I've had this charger for a few mos now and it's great. Definitely has more features than i use, but i liked the idea of having a charger that wouldn't ruin batteries like some of the cheap ones do. I think i got mine from Thomas for ~$60...

Nice gadget, but why do I need LCDs to show me if my batteries are charged, an LED is enough. What's the advantages over the maha 204f which is pretty much the best out there. Not crapping, just wondering as I need a charger for my DIMAGE7.

FWIW, Thomas Distibuting also threw in four extra 2300mAh AA batteries.

It has conditioning, which can revive "dead" batteries.

It also includes handy C and D battery adapters.

And it's highly regarded (it actually replaced the maha as their "favorite" charger over at Steve's Digicams)

You should read up about the BC900 as it will answer a lot of your questions and more.

I got mine today from Amazon... I live in an RV and was "on the fence" because this one doesn't include a 12volt adapter... but I'm happy to report that it works perfectly fine on a inexpensive square-wave inverter (I have a Xantrex 700watt that I got for about $40).

It does not charge c or d, but has adapters to use aa in devices that use c or d ( like a hollow sleeve).
The capacity measurement is pretty useful, as cells can vary.
BTW, my only issue was that the batteries included did not look too good.
Recommended.

Do you have experience with cheaper ones killing batteries and if so, which specific makes and models so we can avoid them?

I have 4 different cheaper ones and never had any problems with them. I suppose if someone has a charger that doesn't work right this would be a good replacement but there are defintely several chargers that do fine for far lower cost. Battery charging just isn't a hard thing to do, the batteries themselves are designed with typical chargers in mind so mostly you just have to avoid the very worst of the species.
