Lucky. I just got back from a trek to have Circuit City price match in the exact same way, but was told that they are not doing any price matches today because their system is swamped. The clerk promised that I could get the price match tomorrow. I call B.S., so if I get any crap from them tomorrow I'll raise hell.

I would not believe the cleark at all! Just go to a different CC and they will be gladly to give you a price adjustment.

The BestBuy price is really awesome for this one. Wonder if they'll price match it if you purchase in advance.

I believe CC will not price match BB price @ $999.99, since it is a door buster price and there are limited quantities. Now I can understand if there was a full day and have at least 20 on-hand.

Also I believe they will not honor the 10% off coupon as well. I tried and they did not honor it. I also called the 800 number of CC and they said that I would have to take it up with the store. So I will see if they will honor it and I will go back to a different CC instead.

My CC did accept the 10% off printable coupon. However, they were sold out and I had to special order this TV for deliver in 3-4 weeks. Since I don't really have time constraints, this worked out great for me. I would say try the printable coupon because it does say that it is valid on sale items, but YMMV.

I picked up two of these at Sears on Wednesday (1299-50 price match = 1249) and they only charge half state tax (3.5%) becuase they are in a low income area. Went there today to get a further reduction due to CC having it for $1199 and the store manager whiopped out the CC ad saying it is "one per customer" and "limited quantities" so he would only MATCH the $1199, which is fine by me it's only $10 for the price plus anyway.

However, he wouldn't allow me to buy anymore at the $1199 price since CC said a limit of one per customer. So I drove down to the other Sears and they let me buy 3 at the $1199-$10 plus regular 7% sales tax without a problem.

So basically I got two of them at $1199+3.5% = $1240.96
And three of them at the other store for $1189+7% = 1272.23

Not bad at all IMO.

The best part is that Citibank is giving me a 10% statement credit for any Dept. store purchases I make in November!!!

I haven't actually taken delivery on any of these yet. They had to order them as there were none in stock at either store.

The 3.5% store isnt really in that low income of an area, but close enough to get half sales tax

Only one is for me. The others are for friends. But I am keeping the 10% citibank credit. So my TV is going to end up costing me about $650

Circuit City still has 125% price match guarantee. This TV sometimes goes back up to as much as $1800 in store so if you get the timing right and someone else has it on sale, you get a good deal.

that tv is only 1024x768 resolution, could that be the reason for the blurriness on HD?

I have a previous generation panasonic and that -14 sharpness seems pretty low. I have mine set at +3. Maybe try increasing that and it won't be so fuzzy.

most likely its from the massive compression cable companies put on their hdtv channels. try hooking up a tv antenna or BR/HD player to the set to really make it shine.
