Price Error on 17" LCD by NEC. ONLY $384

First post here, but found a good deal. Well I think so anyway.

Found a great price on a LCD monitor. 17" LCD by NEC for only $384. If you go to the site the pop up LCD ad shows the price at $399??. but when you click on the link it shows the price is EVEN CHEAPER at ONLY $384. Granted it is factory refurbished, but it still has a 1 year factory warranty.
I think it's a pricing error, so I'm getting 2 while I can. I'd hurry before they catch on.

Nice advertisement bradblack. But I would have said: "Wow, this is such a great deal, being an incredible $15 off the normal price, that I'm going to buy 25, and fleabay them so that I can make maybe $2 per monitor! Get in now, before this incredible deal goes away!!!"

It was hard to see, but on the right side of your link page, there's the used LCD price:$384.43

I don't know where you got $399, though.

Thanks for the welcome. I'm new to this forum stuff, so I come off like an advert for them I don't mean to. I just thought that this was a deal. I was going to buy this model new a month back from Comp4sure, but at $650 I didn't have the guts to buy it. I bought a factory refurb printer a while back from staples and it was just like new when I got it so I'm not afraid to buy refurb again.

Used LCD business? No, just one for me; one for the wife.

I found the $15 price difference from the pop up ad price of $399 then on the site it was $384. Not a huge amount, but every bit counts for me this Christmas.

NEC 1700V 17" LCD Monitor Factory Sealed $300 with 3 Years Parts & Labor thru NEC and nobody even wants it, not one bid on egay.

I dunno, your story sounds fishy to me.

Yes, every penny counts. I just bought 4 lcd's, three 15" and one 17" and I shopped around until I found the best deal. Give the guy a break.

The best I got for an NEC 15" lcd was $150 after rebate.

I like that. You're prejudiced against southerners, but you don't seem to be clear on where that is. 'Hang em first?', the old west would be the group you're looking to disparage. As for Bradblack, either he thinks we're idiots and is advertising accordingly, or he's not very bright himself. Paying $384 for a refurb 17" when a new one starts around $400 (yes, maybe not NEC) and refurbs can be had around $300, according to c627627. Considering he JUST joined to post this fishy deal, it sounds like he's just trying to fool AT members, but sure, be nice to him by all means.
