Word on the street is it's not a price mistake. And it's probably OOS in your area. This has been on FW for hours so it's mostly dead. Only Miracle Max could bring it back to life.

I just got back from my local CC. It was OOS but I special ordered it and got the rebates printed out. It should work no probs, the postmark date on the rebates is 4/19.

this beats the crap out of that friggin OD coupon deal ($75/160gb maxtor) IMO

Unexpected this is.

The only thing going for the OD deal (which I got in on) is the lack of rebates. Thanks for the heads-up on the special order. I just might have to stop by and try to do the same.

got the last one in Arlington, TX. rep said they were out, and stock was zero. there was one box hidden behind some raid adapters, so the rep opened the glass case and was really surprised when it turned out to be a 160! they wouldn't take my OD $15 coupon, which would have made the deal even sweeter...

I found a cardboard box that included an ATA card free so I bought that one instead of the regular plastic encased drive. When I got home and opened it up, it was missing the ATA card. WTF? Then, I looked at the drive and it was an old Seagate in an opened antistatic wrapping. Some industrious idiot had bought the drive, gutted the contents, resealed the package and returned it to Circuit City for some other poor soul to take the heat. Luckily I was able to return it without any hassle and this one included a free ATA card too.

Tukwila, Washingto reports that all the stores in Western WA are OOS. But the clerk told me that they've just been special ordering it. Lo and behold, he stopped a mo when the price came up as $109.99. With tax, it was about $120. And the rebates ($50 & $40) printed out with the order, showing today's date. So, boys, go get 'em!

This is my first and only post about Circuit City. If you notice, I congratulated folks on this deal. I scored on the TB Santa Cruz soundcard deal ($7.00 AR) from CC a while back. This is "hot deals" and I'm glad to see CC deals posted.
