You might be able to score one if you go to your local store in the morning.

I just spent the last $100 from my all time monster deal in 1999 when I bought 1100 zip drives from Sears (Ordered them, waited 2 months, Sears tried to get out of it, then delivered) for $39.95 (when the retail price was $139.95). Ah the good old days, remember Mercata and VA? They weren't so swift with price mistakes back then.

Opening time varies by location. Check the web for your local Sears tel # and call. "Robot" operator will tell you the store hours.

I have 2 near me. One opens at 10 and the other 11 on Sundays.

If you could pull this off at CC, you'd get 10% of the difference off. So, $8.50 off of $15. Kudos to anyone who gets a xbox360 harddrive for under $7.

I'm having a hard time believing you bought $40,000 worth of ZIP drives.

That's how things were back in the dot.com days. I dont have trouble believing it at all.

That "IF" is equivalent to "when hell freezes over." CircuitCity has been the worst place to pricematch in my experience. They usually make up their own rules in order to get out of pricematch even when I provide actual receipts.

^ That depends on the area I believe...Sometimes I would get a price match and they wouldn't even bother checking other stores; just as long as I had an ad.

The store I used to work for however, would try to get out of it even if it met all requirements.

One time a manager came out to argue and went on blah blah trying to explain why he coulnd't price match when I had the ad and a receipt from another store in my hands. So I asked where does it say what he just told me. His response, "Oh, it is not written down anywhere but is implied or understood."

sorry to bump this dead deal.

Wow.. how long did it take you to resell 1100 zip drives? And how much profit did you make?

So you paid paid $44,000 for 1,100 zip drives at $40 a piece? Elaborate.

LOL, me too. The CSM that had to override the price was telling me, the whole time, how it had to be a misprint.
