Well, per pricewatch thomson's in FL has these AMD OEM 1.0 gig 266 CPUs for $116 plus $7 shipping. You get a 1 yr warranty if you buy a $9 fan. Have to call and mention pricewatch to get the price.

Let's see if we can get 100 posts on this as we watch CPUs free fall.

For cooling, I went the lazy route... using the STock TIM.

FOP38, the fan is a 6800rpm GW.

Thanks to the forum regulars and such... I saved a whole lotta ca$h upgrading.
