prices going up? sd890is now $299, bought in may for $199

This is a great little camera, and a lot of manufacturers seem to be leaving out 5x or higher optical zoom from their lineup of small point and shoots, but why has this cameras price gone up so much?

it was $199 on amazon in may. now $299.
