Just got the 2500k into the game

That pretty much taps me out though, the wife frowns on using our thubans to super heat the office!

Definitely the more crunchers the better - we dont need to rely on so much individual firepower if we have the numbers. Even if folks only get one run in, that is super helpful.

The race thread at PrimeGrid is interesting. http://www.primegrid.com/forum_thread.php?id=4584&nowrap=true#59100

Three of the top five crunchers are running windows 8 and were running up huge numbers of race points with just a single computer each. Their WUs will not be validated but that will take time. Two of the crunchers do not have a team affiliation but one is from Duke University. Two of the three did not know what was going on since they were away for the weekend. All three were running boinc version 7.0.28 and their results were 3.xx seconds run time and 0.00 seconds CPU time. All WUs were scored as pending validation or validation inconclusive so they received race points for each WU. What that means is most of us will go up in the rankings by 3 positions and the TeAm will go up one position. Duke will drop below us by the time all WUs are validated.

I'm actually running windows 8 pro (64-bit) on my 3930K with boinc version 7.0.36 and a lot of WUs are being validated. Others are using win 8 with no problems either.

For those of you who don't like the tablet start up screen on win 8 and would like to see a desktop with a classic start menu, check out this app. Works great for me.

I was originally optimistic that I would get power back in time to get my home crunchers into the race, but still nothing so far. And with a noreaster headed this way Wednesday, it looks like power won't be back until this weekend at the earliest (if then even). I've got my office PC crunching away, but that really looks like it for me.

Correlizer just got more work and it took over some of my crunchers since they were ready and waiting for Correlizer as a high priority project. Something to look out for if you have correlizer added to your crunchers.

And, oh yeah, Correlizer has work!

So far as I can tell, everything is set up properly. Perhaps some of the other WU's were submitted because I installed BOINC/Primegrid before changing my preferences, and it finished those workunits first?
