We actually have stats! Five people on the board so far, more to come I hope. And ninth place is nice.

I've finished three tasks within the last 40 minutes, so hopefully I'm on track to send in 12 WUs before the end of the competition.

I have quite a few WUs to be finished in the next 12 - 24 hours - lets see what that will do to our standings!

BTW, just now, Biodoc is #6 in the total race! Congrats!

The TeAm is # 4!

I'm starting to become convinced that either my GPU is acting up, there's a problem with the newer NV drivers, or BOINC doesn't clean up properly after using the GPU.

I can leave the computer running, and it is fine, but when I wake it up to use it, and BOINC releases the GPU, things get flaky.

Never had this problem with F@H, other than a laggy GUI when it was running.

Edit: Hmm, finished some WUs finally last night, but now it hasn't downloaded more to work on.
Edit: Ok, it downloaded two more, it is working on three PPS Sieve 1.39 WUs, and one Woodall LLR WU.

Larry, I suggest you minimize the non-race-related PrimeGrid WUs you run for now. Here's how you should set up your PrimeGrid Preferences. Note the number of un-checked checkboxes.

Edit: I also suggest you abort the sieve tasks running on your CPU.

Down to eighth. I get the feeling Peter is holding out on us. But I'm on the board now.

Within the next 18 - 25 hours I'll dump some 30-odd results --- I don't know how much that will do to our standings, but I hope a lot.
I do not believe in jinx, I only trust Murphy.

That's 810,000+ points!!
If you go by what I got per my eight WUs, it would be 841,807.5 points!

Also, I sent eight WUs in and six are still pending. The two I got credit for are showing < 3,000 points per WU. How come the race points are higher?

10 results (approx 252K points) already dumped, 34 results (approx 850K points) within 24.6 hours to go ...
I think the crunching machine is working ...

Well crunched!
The Knights and the DPC (our competitors from the olden times in e.g. Seti@home and others are still behind us. That may change though - please crunch on, recruit new crunchers, assimilate and borgh more!

Yeah, but we're still being chased by rats, and competitors from even oldener times, the DPC! (Anyone remember our competitions with them? I'm not even sure what projects we competed in. I just remember megaflushes from them.)

Nice pass Peter! Good to see you at the top where you belong!

Good to see the Knights finally join the race and in a big way, I might add! Too bad the Cows don't post on our forum and taunt us like they used to!!

My next 14 WUs will finish in the next 10-16 hours.

Great crunching everyone!!

Silly me, I kind of forgot I have a second machine here sitting idle. Hold on, I'll get that machine running too.

The little brown truck is bringing me a couple of neat things today. Should have a Rosewill Blackhawk case to install my main desktop rig into. I would have bought two, but I didn't have the money at the time. With the five cooling fans, I'm hoping that I can run both my CPU and GPU at the same time without thermal issues. Unfortunately, that means that my main rig will be down for a few hours too, while I swap things out. But I'll start up my secondary rig, so it can crunch in the meantime.

Edit: Hmm, installed BOINC onto my secondary desktop, and it said "no work available". Must be a shortage of WUs.

Edit: Left it for a while, on the BOINC screensaver, and suddenly it was showing it was processing four Woodall LLR WUs. Good.

Also, I updated the NV drivers on my main rig to 280.26 WHQL, and I can't reproduce the problem that I was having prior with desktop GUI updates going screwy once I suspended GPU BOINC processing. I'll test it again once my rig heats up a bunch. It could be thermally-related.

Stuck between the cows and the rats! We sure could use that extra system, Larry. The PrimeGrid home page shows almost 1000 WUs available. Try again, and/or make sure your computer is set right locally and on the PrimeGrid page.
