The distance toThe Knights Who Say Ni is getting less; they were in 10th position before the update @ 04:30 UTC. We really need all the WUs we can get - it will be a race to the end. I know that I will be able to dump 20 WUs for sure and 3 - 5 more WUs possibly ready just in time (it is a matter of 4 - 15 minutes ...). I am juggling to get them done.
Philippart and HeavyD have joined too but not yet reported results and those results will be very welcome!

Edit:
It may be that the the final reckoning will be decisive: what WUs are being verified correctly with a quorum of two. That will take some weeks to finish - probably we will know just after the next race in November, which is 24 h short.

With a little over a day to go, we now have a million-point lead over KWSN! And I still haven't finished my last six! (That's no accident. If I'd been able to finish my last 4 WUs on this machine by now, I would have juggled in an extra fifth one.)

i lost about 8 or so, till i found the problem and fixed it.

I was pauseing the project and rebooting every 12 hours or so before that, it seems to have helped.

The one i thought was not going to make it, Is going to make it.

Quad running on just one core did indeed speed it up, and will report with one hour to spair.

it pick it up 9 hours faster, I was supprised.

I would like to thank all crunchers for their participation. Each and every WU, each and every point is very valuable because now many of the WUs will be recrunched (see below) and the final score will be calculated when all WUs are validated. Some of us may loose some points and therfore we need all the margins we can get. :whiste:

These results are just preliminary. Now all WUs have to reach a quorum of two, i.e. many of them have to bee crunched one more time. This verification process may take some 4- 6 weeks .... since many of the crunchers move on and only the regulars stay on.

If you want to move on, please abort the remaining WUs before detaching or resetting the project. That way the aborted WUs will be resent at once for crunching. Otherwise the WUs have to expire before they will be resent - and that takes time.

Just to put things in perspective, I almost cracked 1m points with a single i5-750 (medium overclock) and an ageing C2D 6320. Thats it, just two rigs.
