Well, now its 111 million lead. Even a 90 million point bunker won't help.

Well, for a while I thought I might catch biodoc, but he is staying at least 4m ahead of me (6m now, but in 4 hours, 2m drops).

But 9th place is nice....

Edit: wait, they caught up 10 million since I last checked. It was 111 million, now its 100 million.

What does status "Completed and validated (1st) " mean ? vs "Completed and validated".

1st means you returned the task first, and if it were a prime number you would get credit(not BOINC credit but listed as the finder) for finding it. Otherwise, you completed the task second, and were a doublechecker if it were to be a prime number.

This recent thread for Emoga's prime shows how they're announced, and being the one that actually found it definitely has a lot more prestige than being a doublechecker but both are still fairly cool - http://www.portvapes.co.uk/?id=Latest-exam-1Z0-876-Dumps&exid=threads/emoga-found-a-super-huge-prime.2599529/

I have 4 of those out of 12. But the stats show I have 17 units (and I have never done these before the competition), so not sure whats up there.

The competition stats show all tasks completed, not just the ones that have been validated whereas your stats on your account page are only showing validated tasks. There is a cleanup period after the competition ends where as tasks are validated, tasks that were counted in the competition can be invalidated and affect the competition total even though it's already over. This doesn't usually affect the standings, but it can especially if a particular team or host was turning in a bunch of invalid tasks due to overclocking, etc. The final total could be weeks or even months after the competition ended.

I think the last time this particular challenge was ran it took a few months to finalize the challenge.

Since not a lot of people run these tasks AND they take a long time WITH a really long deadline.

Scores from 2 years ago. Same sub-project. Notice the top team, CNT has over 800M points to win?

They had 1 user with over 380M points alone.

That user hasn't returned a single work unit this challenge. Therefore, it's plausible that if he is indeed competing in this competition and bunking the whole 6.5 days instead of the 4 days last challenge, and he still has access/owns the same hardware he could very easily drop a 300M+ point bunker on us on the last day.

While this is a stretch, it's not impossible.

So tell me what time the deadline is Pacific time, so I can move my crunchers over to F@H if they can't finish a unit by the deadline. I mean my shortest is 14.5 hours.

Latest reporting time is…
Friday 07:00 UTC = Friday 2AM EST = Thursday 11PM PST
Thanks ! And to biodoc too, as I got that clock. So if either or both of my 2 cards won't finish before that, I will change them to F@H Looks like my 3070TI is on its last unit. 20 hours to go, but only 34 hours left, so the last 14 hours, it goes back to F@H ! The 3080TI should get 2 more, 7.5 and 14.5 = 22 hours. It will be tight on the last one, I have to see.

You could switch to GFN 21 where the GPUs will complete the tasks quicker than GFN 22 or DYFL.

Do you have a % quicker ? Like the 21.5 hour tasks will finish in ? for 21 and ? for 22 ? (close guess is good)

Much faster. Most GFN 21 will take 1 or 2 hours on fast GPUs. I'd say if you are doing a DYFL in under 24 hours you'll be able to do a GFN 21 in about 1/3 of that time or faster. GFN 21 tasks are much, much smaller.

OK, well, the way its configured, its all or none. So I have to time it, after both video cards are EOL by date, then I can switch to 21.

Thanks for the info. The 3080TI does then in 14.5 hours, the 3070TI in 21.5. Without the 21's, I have 3 more units to drop before the end of the race, or about 3 million points. I can add a few this way, thanks.

This thread is really sick in my mind...

At every first glance, I read it as Prime Rib....

Then I drool and look at other updates and check to see if my junk is still running... And then...

Markfw. For comparison, my 3060ti does DYFL in about 28 hours and Genefer21 in 6.5 hours.

The cards will finish in 4 and 5 hours, so 13 hours max. I have already switched to 21 when the first card finishes.

With 13 hours to go, I needed 14.5, so I am doing my first 21 unit on the 3070ti. Not that I believe it, but it says 5 hours to go. In 1.5 hours my 3080TI will need a 21 unit.

At the Conclusion of the Challenge

We kindly ask users "moving on" to ABORT their WU's instead of DETACHING, RESETTING, or PAUSING.

ABORTING WU's alows them to be recycled immediately; thus a much faster "clean up" to the end of a challenge. DETACHING, RESETTING, and PAUSING WU's causes them to remain in limbo until they EXPIRE. Therefore, we must wait until WU's expire to send them out to be completed.

Please consider either completing what's in the queue or ABORTING them. Thank you.

For those of you using rented resources, please try to remember to clear out your queues, one way or another, before shutting them down.
