With any luck you'll get one WU done on each core, which is pretty freaking significant

Maybe two depending on the WU and core speed.

I got some super-fast WUs at the beginning on my 1055t, I'm up to 48 credit! The next WUs that I got look like they'll take 18 hrs or so, however. My rigs at home are much faster. We'll see what they can do.

The 2500k w/AVX is where it's at! Hopefully you'll smash two per core by then end of the race..

Just noticed an estimate of 20 hours to go on 5 of 6 WU's on one of my X6's. Already 15 hours into the unit to. Ugh. Only 15 hours of race time left.
Wonder if I should abort them and hope I get some smaller ones.

Mental moment. Nevermind.
I was thinking 15 hours for additional WU's in my queue and 20 hours on the working WU. For some reason that translated to that fiasco I wrote.
I really need more sleep.

Let's hope those estimates are conservative... I've started telling my crunchers no more new work from PrimeGrid in anticipation of moving back to a couple different projects...

I have tried to juggle WUs and it worked reasonably well: I have no WUs which will finish 1 minute - 14 hours after the race and at least 28 WUs will be finished before the race is over ... and one WU is iffy - it should finish some 3 - 4 minutes before the end, but you never know ... I have aborted all unstarted WUs ...

I think that our #7 position is quite solid (unless the Cows have hoarded finished WUs and dump more than 1 000 000 points just before the end. This seems unlikely (but is possible) since that would represent approx. 1/6 of their total race production) and I don't think that we can produce 250K more than Team 2ch. I wish we could.
However a 7th position is still a very good result - it is not often we have been among the top-10 (only twice since 2009).

If I realized the difference in sizes of possible wu were so great I could have had 10 or more extras but live and learn :/

Ugh, had one of my Win7 machines install updates last night. So I lost some 4-5 hours production. Will have impacted 2 WU's that will finish a few hours late. Oh well, something I couldn't control.

I'm pretty much done. I delivered a bunch of completed WUs this morning. I might have 1-2 left on my box at home that might get in under the deadline, but everything else crunching right now won't be done for another 12+ hours. Regardless, nice race everyone, and great showing for TA. I'm rooting for you heavy hitters to get enough WUs in that the team might squeak by into 6th place.

I'll be interested in the production on that Mac Pro - that's a very nice hunk of technology

It's been nice and fun to see people piling on for this challenge, hopefully we can keep the enthusiasm up for future races.

I think I'm out of work too - a couple of WUs will finish about 6 hours too late. I really haven't had time to juggle, and the variable WU sizes make it nearly impossible IMHO.

After this race, I'll be down for awhile reformatting and installing Ubuntu 12.04. P.S. Thanks for covering for me yesterday on the stats, Peter!

Just got my last WU in.

Taking the time to assemble the 2600k rig last Saturday morning was a very worthwhile investment. Don't rat me out to my wife, that was our fifth anniversary

(which we spent most of the day celebrating, don't get me wrong...)

Hmm, got four more WUs almost finished on my main rig. I started crunching on my HTPC too, but it's too slow, none of those WUs will make it in by the deadline.

Speaking of which, when does this race end, in EST? Is it 5pm?

If that's true, then it looks like none of my WUs will make it in by the deadline, other than the ones I already completed.
