Huh, don't know what would cause that on a Core 2. My C2Q9400 @2.66GHz (stock) is at 58% after 96 hours.

Yay! My computers are finally returning jobs. 32 work units all started within a few hours of each other (8 computers x4 tasks) on i5 machines. So far, 14 of them have been returned with about half validated for points. I think I should see a significant jump in those numbers by the end of the weekend since BOINC won't have to suspend itself for people that use the computers during business hours...

I have a feeling that most of my second set of WU's aren't going to finish before the deadline.

Oh well. I'll let them finish anyway just to get the credit on the project itself.

My second set of WUs is taking a lot longer. The first ones took 75-80 hours. These second ones are at 82-87 hours and only 82%-96% done.

Has anyone else noticed the same thing?

Yeah, this is one project where the WUs get longer over time. If your WUs aren't going to finish in time, try suspending or aborting the slowest 1 or 2 to make the rest go a little faster. (The reason being they're memory-bandwidth-limited.)

According to the race thread here, the current WUs take longer to crunch vs the WUs that were downloaded at the beginning of the race.

The good news is that we get more race and project credit for the longer WUs.

As we go though the numbers, we're going from smaller number to bigger numbers. Bigger numbers take longer to crunch. It's that simple.
