PrimeGrid LLR Races Thread 2016

I think I'm in. I joined PrimeGrid on this box, went to the web site and adjusted my prefs for the top project, AP27, checked off AMD GPU, saved prefs, went to project and "Update". Now I've got an AP27 tasks running on the GPU. Also have a couple of CPU ESP tasks, not sure where they came from. I thought I didn't have any CPU project checked off in my prefs, just the GPU project. Ah well, hope that won't slow down my GPU task much if any. :|

CPU tasks don't slow these much. I'm running WCG tasks myself. But to prevent more CPU tasks, uncheck the CPU checkbox at the top of your PrimeGrid preferences.

I was a few hours late to the party, but have moved in to 8th place. I have made substantial gains on 7th, and 6th, and expect to overtake in the next 8-10 hours. Hmmm, is third place possible? Me thinks, YES.

I believe we are a firm 6th place in this race. No hope of moving up unless Mark quits folding and joins in, and not too much chance of being caught.

Looks as though the players above me have stepped up their game a bit, not sure if I can advance as far as expected, only overtaking one other participant at the moment. I have more hardware, but Fall/open windows/air conditioning are already struggling.

Now that the WCG race is over I put some CPU cores on this. My Skylake can get a couple done, but I don't think anything else I have can.

After this race is over, I get to install the fire extinguishers on the 1070s, which just arrived in the mail from EVGA. And I need to get a few cards some more air somehow, as one is currently hitting its thermal limit and throttling, and another is very close to doing the same.

I will be participating. I was so stoked, having 7 980Ti's, 3 980's, two 1070's....but for various reasons I've just sold 3 Ti's, and all 3 980's, but did order another 1070.

So I'll be in (late, letting F@H finish) with 4 980Ti's and 3 1070's.
