I just noticed EVGA's bcavnaugh is waaaaaaayyyyyyy down at the bottom of this race. @yodap @bill1024 Is he alright? Not at all like him to skimp out on a PG race.....

He is doing fine, away on vacation. I think he only has one system running for now.

I am in Summer mode myself and have cut way down.
And it is car season, car shows, cruise ins, working on mods.........Would love to hit the strip if I can get to feeling better.
Plus have have some things going on right now that I have to focus on. Getting old sucks, but better than the alternative.

Good job on your finish this challenge. Tough to stay all in with the weather getting warm, but you guys did it. Congrats.

Yep, it's all over but the stats reporting and the double-checking. I'll get to it eventually.

Edit: Here's the basic stats:

I will be losing some places once clean up is completed due to earlier invalid results from my machine..........not going to be good for me, but the TeAm as a whole will be OK.

The results of the World Cup Challenge are now final.

Unfortunately, but as expected, we had by far the most invalid WUs during the cleanup stage (and certainly during the race too).

All of my own results were valid, and considering German electricity costs, I'm glad about that.

as a consolation, BOINC@Mixi had 1.12 % deductions and slipped from rank 7 to rank 8 during cleanup.

As I stated previously, I knew I had "invalid results". Tallied up total was unfortunately 23, whatever that adds to the loss of points. I have since ran PPS, CUL and WOO on the offending machine ( AFTER performing a memory test for 1.5 days with no errors) with results returned error free. With that said, I will probably NOT run said machine for any of the next PG races involving CPU (maybe run PPS, unsure about that even)

Some time before the race, go to "Your account" -> "PrimeGrid preferences" -> "Edit PrimeGrid preferences". Deselect all CPU projects (and maybe all GPU projects as well). Find "Proth Prime Search LLR (PPS) ... Solar Eclipse Challenge project" and select it. (Yes, it is CPU-only.)

Then take the time to scroll to the very bottom of the page and click the update button.

And remember, only tasks count which were downloaded after the beginning of the race (Friday, August 10, 18:00 UTC... or Saturday local time for those based in Kazakhstan and further East).

If you happen to have Bulldozer family CPU , I suggest to leave the configuration as it is because I tried 2 tasks x 2 threads and it didn't reduce the runtime.

Pardon my paranoia: Is this just PPS and not PPSE / PPS Mega?

The next PrimeGrid subproject to go live will be devoted to the discovery of acronyms which, while being family friendly/ safe for work, are not overlapping with one of the existing subproject names. They haven't made an announcement of the project yet, because they are still discussing how to name it.
