Added the config xml but it doesn't seem to take so am on the slow boat.
First thing to check would be whether boinc-client picked up the file at all, and the syntax was alright. For example, edit the application name from "llrSOB" to "llrSOB_helloworld", use boincmgr's "Options/ Read config files", then check in "Tools/ Event Log..." whether it now complains about an unknown application llrSOB_helloworld.

If yes, you are good. Change the name back to "llrSOB", save, read config files again. From this point on, some of the settings in the file are already applied (notably boinc-client's calculation how many llrSOB tasks can be run in parallel), others will only be applied later when a next llrSOB task will be started.

But you generally want to have that latter kind of settings applied right away too, if only for consistency. For this you could either follow the steps in #64. Or better yet, shut down boinc-client and boincmgr competely (in boincmgr's exit dialogue, check "Stop running tasks when exiting the BOINC Manager"), and then restart client and manager. (If you do the less invasive steps from #64, the display in boincmgr's task tab will be misleading for all previously existing tasks. It's just a cosmetic flaw though.) Or more drastically but not really necessary, reboot the PC.

@bill1024, @yodap, these are all Xeons but have only one processor per host. This points to cloud computers. Furthermore, mexxus is using each of these hosts for no more than one single llrSOB task. This points to time-limited gratis (or super-cheap) cloud offers.

Can't blame an Australian for using the cloud in this month. It's his modus operandi all year over though.

I tend to agree with you Stefan, he has access to a cloud server, maybe he works there, who knows.
Your post a while back, I am letting the long tasks just run out as is. I do not want to mess with it a have the tasks go "POOF"
Knowing my luck they will all self abort. If it ain't broke, not gonna fix it.
They will have time to spare. 6180 AMD 12 core Opterons.

I am cutting back, selling off some of my computer collection. Been doing DC/folding 11 years.
The electric bill is getting out of hand. I can lease a Caddy and still pay a normal electric bill for what I am spending now.
Bought a new 4 string Bass, a new SG guitar plus an amp with the $ from the stuff I sold.. Going to spend more time playing music.
Well at least more time making a lot of noise anyway, if it is music or not, time will tell.

So I simply recopied and pasted Tonys app_comfig from this thread - saved. Suspended PG, reread the config files (button), unsuspended PG and it worked.
Go figure. Only thing different is the formatting of the text. I left it an unkempt mess as opposed to indenting lines to make it easier to read code. An OCD (CDO to a truly OCD persons like myself) thing. It may be running but it will bother me.
Lost of down time though for 3 days as I mosey on down to warmer clime's. Folding is still cranking out heat at home full time.

Finally, my second task was reported and tracked by Ken (thanks!).
Sadly, I will barely report another one on Jan 15th.

Thanks for the daily stats.
Nice ranking, Stefan!
I wanted to go into this one a bit more relaxed than in former LLR races, considering my electricity use for Folding. But after the jumpy phase of the first few days of this race, I found myself in a field of contestants all very close together in points, and could not resist to open up the throttle a bit more.

Edit,
at the EVGA forum, there are some who consider it a theoretic possibility that we catch up and overtake them. I think this is not going to happen. It would not only be difficult to do, it would also be rather wrong after the folding assistance we got in December.

Yeah, the only machines I ended up letting SoB and F@H run together on are quad channel systems, seems that the two together just overwhelm the mainstream platforms.

Good to see we are still in a (hopefully) solid 6th place. I appreciate those of you running this, and putting up such a good showing for the TeAm!

I now know why I usually shy away from PG CPU challenges...........holy yeah, just holy....... Talk about buzz kill.....

Guess I've been in la-la land for the past month, obsessing over my mining, and forgetting about my duties to my TeAm. I'm still meaning on throwing a few days of my GTX 1070 ti card on F@H, but I didn't even realize that we had a half-month PG race. Sorry. Been too worried about earning some meager bucks in my bank account for groceries, since I dropped $525 this month on a GTX 1070 ti, and I borrowed money from a relative for a $305 RX 570 8GB, which I've promised to pay out of my BTC earnings this month as well. So many projects, so little high-end GPUs to go around. (I'm even mining with my 260X cards, and I tried with the GT 730 GDDR5 cards, but they crash the system after a few hours for some reason.)

Edit: Btw, Great Job TeAm! 6th place is, I don't think, too bad. Crunching@EVGA is a bigger team, pretty sure. Where was [H]ard?
