What about on a 14 core ? or 16 core ?Yeah, tour de primes is interesting and different. The goal is to find a prime, in the time allowed, and to get it proven and submitted before your wingman does. Multithreading makes it more likely that you will beat your wingmen, but decreases your overall testing rate, making you less likely to find a prime. I'm multithreading on my dual cores but not on my quad core.
It just happens that my quad core's cores are faster than any of my other cores. Seems like about 700s per ppse is sufficient to beat most wingmen.What about on a 14 core ? or 16 core ?
