Among many Muslim extremeists,it means at a minimum that you are less of a man, and in some sects those with the longest stringy beards are usually elders and highly esteemed.
I guess in Iraq it just takes a pair of handlebars to please the Sadman. Then again,if hes gone onto his reward, there wont be any pleasing him here on out...

While we are on the subject of dirtbags, here is a story about dirtbags among the ranks of our troops which we didnt and wont hear about on the news because it just wouldnt be P.C.

For example, concerning the Kuwait tent bombing at the beginning of the war-I saw the cause cited on the news as a soldier disgrunted with his officers who just happened to be Muslim.

Once again, the very first casualty of war, truth...

I think this should be placed over in the Hot Deals section. Seems like a great deal to me.

The ruling Ba'ath party that this war is against are NOT muslim extremists.
Iraq's govt was one of the few secular govt's in the region which is one reason the US supported Saddam for so many years.
The fact that the ruling party in Iraq was secular is the reason that Muslim Extremists like Al Qaeda and Ansar Al-Islam HATED Saddam.

The US's attempt to connect Al Qaeda with Saddam is ludicrous. It is like saying that the Black Panthers and the KKK work together. But obviously the more that somebody repeats a mantra over and over again to the public, the more likely that people just start to believe it without any evidence.

Weapons of mass destruction.... terrorist cells... used chemical weapons against his own people*... weapons of mass destruction.... terrorist cells... used chemical weapons against his own people... weapons of mass destruction.... terrorist cells... used chemical weapons against his own people... weapons of mass destruction.... terrorist cells... used chemical weapons against his own people...

*Unless you want to to start referring to Israeli retaliation against Palestinian terrorists as "Sharon used machine guns against his own people", this oft-repeated quote is misleading at best.

Well put HarryK. I could not agree with you more. Even some of my fellow army buddies questioned the link (and still do), but in the end we all agreed Saddam had to go. On another note, is there a way to order these already printed on authentic card stock? I am sure somebody has to have a set (well they probably give them out on Air Force One...) or a link to one.

I don't know what you have been reading, but getting rid of the person freed the people. It was always about the people.

and here I thought the Department of Defense had better things to do. I wonder who sat down and gave the order "tell the tech department we need playing cards of Iraqi officals by tuesday at 4..."

Woah... how did I see this on CNN and MSNBC then? They were talking about when the crazy did it the first time, but they didn't have any name - it was Arab sounding was I think all they said. Wait... yup

Dont kid yourself the terrorists and Iraq had a common cause and that is hatred of and wishes for the destruction of the US as well as Israel. I also read more than one article citing intelligence which had placed some Al Qaeda leadership at meetings in Iraq with govt officals.Even before those articles I for one dont doubt for second that money has flowed from Iraq to support those who want to see Americans dead.I think many here would agree.
figgypower, thanks for putting that link up, I hadnt seen that article/report but you'll note they mention him only as a "disgruntled" soldier from my admitted quick read of it.
