My epson finally bit the dust, it was a scanner, copier, printer, loved the features of it and overall it was a great unit (got LOTS of use), now I am looking for a replacement, not interested in faxes or anything, but was very interested to know if there were any copier/scanner/CD OR DVD LABEL PRINTER all in one type units?

If so who and what models?

I have searched around a bit on amazon and such but haven't found something to do all the things I would like it to do (mentioned above).

Any suggestions or help appreciated, I know you guys and gals are up on all the newest gadgets and toys out there, I figure if it doesn't exist yet maybe it will be out someday soon (all in one that can scan/copy/print cd&dvd labels).

printing cd/dvd labels depends on the software matched to the label material. Most any printer will do that.

The canon M390 does fax also. You didn't say what your budget was. If it's enough I recommend a Canon with individual ink tanks. If it's less than $150 I recommend the M390 or M370 (no fax)

I was looking for a home printer that does scanning, copies, regular paper printing and possibly a cd/dvd tray for printing directly to inkjet printable topped cd and dvd media.

Normally I woudln't even be shopping for a printer, but my all in one (that doesn't print directly to dvd/cd tops) conked, so I figured I would start looking around for something that did all the things I wanted in one if possible vs having to buy a separate unit to print directly onto dvd or cd media.

I don't even know if an all in one home unit does scanning, copies, paper print and print directly to cd or dvd tops, but I figured I would ask before just buying a replacement printer since I would like to be able to print directly to specific blank media that does accept ink jet printing.

I would like to stay under $300 range but am open to spending more if I find the right unit that does it all.

Both the Epson R200 & R300 will print directly on CD/DVD's. I've got an R200 and really like it.
The R300 is the same except it can print directly from memory cards.

BTW, Both also have six ink pots, rather than just a black & color.

Been reading reviews on the epsons that do print directly to cd - not a bad choice, just haven't dug deep enough to know if they will also scan and photocopy (both features I use alot in home printer).

I am sure I can find those answers digging around a bit more thru reviews or thru epsons site, thanks for the recommendation..

A lot of the Dellf coupons are for money off printer orders, I can hook you up with some coupons if you want, but I dont know the type or quaity of printers Dell has available.

If you live in North America and want to print on a CD then Epson is your only option.

Epson currently doesn't manufacturer an all-in-one model with the direct CD printing feature. Currently, the R200, R300, R320, and R800 do this (all are standalone printers).

Which Epson model did you have before? They have four current all-in-one models:

CX4600 - DuraBrite inks (CMYK), 15 ppm black/color (VERY liberal number...this model is SLOW), 12 cpm black, 600x1200 dpi scanner, card readers, does DECENT photos. Small footprint. $129 and $20 Visa gift card offer.

CX6600 - Durabrite inks (CMYK), 22/11 ppm black/color, 16 cpm black, 1200x2400 dpi scanner, card readers, does DECENT photos. Does PC-free reductions and enlargements and has a lot more printing modes than the CX4600. $199 and $50 mail-in rebate.

RX500 - Photo dye inks (CMYKcm), 17/16 ppm black/color, 10 cpm black, 2400x4800 dpi scanner, card readers, OPTIMIZED for photo printing. Does everything the CX6000 does functionality-wise, but comes with a slide/negative adapter. $229 and $50 mail-in rebate.

RX600 - Photo dye inks (CMYKcm), 17/16 ppm black/color, 10 cpm black, 2400x4800 dpi scanner, card readers, PictBridge/interface port, color LCD monitor for previewing and cropping images, OPTIMIZED for photo printing. Capable of printing photos straight from slides/negatives WITHOUT the PC. $349 and $50 mail-in rebate.

Basically, it's going to come down to what your needs are. If you print mostly documents, I'd get a CX4600 or CX6600. I definitely recommend splurging to go for the 6600, though. It's a LOT faster than the 4600 and it has a better scanner and comes with more software.

The R300M is not a network printer. It is a variant of the R300 that adds a color LCD. The R320 replaced it recently. The only network printing option available for the R3xx series is the Bluetooth adapter, which would plug into the EXT-IF USB port on the front of the unit.
