printer net work problem

Hello,
I am setting up the printer for the local area network. This is my first installation
setup. Please give me the steps used for local area network. I am going to explain
how far I am done and what is to be needed. I set up the printer with one of the four
computers. I installed the printer for host computer. It works fine. Now I am trying to
share printer with one of the four computers. the setting i did for both computers by
going to network properties are as follows Client for Microsoft Networks,TCP/IP, File and Printer sharing for Microsoft Networks, 3com Etherlink 10/100 PCI for complete PC Management. For the host computer all three were same except the ethernet, which is as follows Netgearr Fa 310 Fast ethernet PCI adapter. I installed the printer for host computer by local printer. When I tried to install the printer for other computer I checked it net work printer. Then I went to Browse. Clicked on the network neghbor hood. It show the internet explorer is unable to browse. I dont understand why? I will appreciate your patience and reply

Wrong forum. You haven't listed an operating system.

For XP...
Host computer: right click the printer and set a share for it.

Client computer: in file explorer type the address of the Host. The available shares should pop up. Double click the printer and off you go.

All of this assumes you have the computers properly networked, i.e. they can otherwise see each other/each other's shares.
