I have seen a few dozen pages stuck on some models. Eventually it will jam.

And the tech is a moron because it's obvious if you just open the damned thing.

Does this printer have CD printing capability? Run a few discs through. YOu'll be able to find the problem by listening to the crunching noises.

You guys need to watch more Fringe. Clearly, the print jobs are printing out on the same printer that exists in an alternate reality version of the OP's office.

I think I should mention that I work in a software development company, so we are all good at problem-solving. The paper is not returning to the paper tray from whence it came.

Which is why there is a reason there are software folks and there are hardware folks:

I don't know if they're joking... but one of those co-workers just left the office and said she was never coming back...

Posting in an Arcadio thread.

UPDATE:

Ok.. this morning when I came to work, my co-workers told me that this morning my boss found a bunch of printed sheets in the output tray of the printer. At first my boss thought that those were the missing sheets from yesterday, but after carefully reviewing them, it was determined that those sheets were not sent to the printer by any of us. Basically those sheets somehow appeared in the output tray of the printer overnight, and none of us actually sent them to the printer. Talk about weird. Right now my boss is talking to some people I've never seen before in one of the conference rooms. Our boss told us not to sent any more print jobs to the weird printer, but we actually did, and it is still eating up the paper sheets....

The weird thing is that my boss' assistant told us that my boss decided not to call any more tech support people. Not even from Canon itself. So I wonder who those people in the conference room are. There is something weird about them...

Shens isn't a strong enough word here.

I don't get printers. It's 2009 and I have yet to use a printer that doesn't fuck up for some stupid reason on a daily basis.

Can you give us a description of the people that he's talking to? Is one of them a younger looking black man with big ears, and his partner an older white man with a bit of a southern drawl?

I say keep feeding it paper till it explodes. I truly don't think Canon is in the business of making stargates.

I don't know about entertaining, I would say more normal than this regular posts, but yeah, then he started in with his usual BS.

they're from the gov't. i would go somewhere safe and stay there until they are gone.

and stop posting to OT - if they find out you've been relaying their actions to outsiders, we may never hear from you again.

On second thought, keep posting...

They will probably hold up something that looks like a pen and ask you to stare at it for a minute. REFUSE!

Think about that advice for a minute.

If they "flashy-thingie" him, would he possibly forget about ATOT?

This could have some very positive effects.

For example, we could regain the regular use of the letter "H."
