I've been trying to set up my router so that the HD Homerun (a network TV tuner) traffic is prioritized over all else. It's very annoying to have recorded a show, but have it glitched out, because a file was being transferred somewhere on the network.
I've been unsuccessful when trying to use the QoS settings within the router. When watching the traffic monitor it doesn't even show any activity when the HDHR is streaming to either of my Windows Media Center computers. The traffic monitoring tool only seems to recognize internet incoming / outgoing data and not a datastream originating from an internal device. That's just my take on it, I could be wrong.
Has anyone been successful in setting up this (or other similar Asus) router to prioritize this kind of video traffic to an HTPC? Any help is greatly appreciated.
