1. I understand you, fellow off-roader.
2. Those are bigass tires...what the heck are you driving? I hope it's lifted....those are bigass tires.
3. Early next year, I'll be buying a set of 285/75 16's (about 32 x 10 or so...)for my Trooper. It has a mild 2" lift.
4. Those tires are strictly MTs..hope you don't plan on driving on the highway too much.

MichaelD.

'85 Jeep CJ-7 four inches suspension lift, one inch body lift and 1/2 inch shackle lift. Buyers remorse over and d0ne, can't wait for those biatches to get here! By the way, troopers ROCK. If I were starting over with a "project" it would prolly be a BOXY ASS TROUPER, they just SCREAM MEAN,

D,
it's all objective. I can spend the $ on the GF or the JEEP! I chose the jeep.
...as long as "she" doesnt read this, I can still sleep in the bed.

Actually 285/75 R16's are about 33 x 11.50 R16's. How do I know this?

33 x 12.50 R16's Just put those on my truck. I think I can drive up a building now. Traction = awesome!

MT's are for wimps. Ok, no they are not. Expecialy in 35" size. but I would need a 2" lift to fit those. Maybe next year. Congrats on the purchase.

For your info: I found Costco to be the cheapest to mount and balance at $9 a tire. ( plus $1 for disposal)

<edit>
Let me know how they drive. I would be interested in some Pro Comp's for summer.

Hey ChangLi, nice Jeep! It's definitely modded-out. Real OR vehicles are built, no bought. I'm slowly but surely building up my Troop. I have a mild 2" suspension lift. It's harder to go any higher, as Gen II Troops are IFS. Sucks...but a solid axle swap is HUGE $$$. Maybe someday.

Good Freakin' Lord!!! Those tires are like, The Battleaxes of the off-road community...I'm scared! :Q

The lugs are positively huge...dayum. :Q That's too much tire for me (treadwise). 90% of my driving is highway. I wish I could afford two sets of rims/tires; one set of ATs for everyday/light offroading and one set of MTs for max-traction. This is one freakin' expensive hobby, man. Makes PCs look absolutely cheap!

I tried them out in the mud 2-3 days before it froze. I was throwing mud chunks a hundred feet. I had them out in the snow, and they were decent, but not awesome. Need some real snow in the 6-12" zone to have real fun.

They are louder than hell on the street. My brothers girlfriend heard me from a long ways away when I went to pick him up. If I take my foot out of the gass from 50, it sounds like a jet engine winding down.

ChangLi must have went sleepy by. I want to see pics of cool jeep!

Cool! Where you at, and where do you go 4 wheeling? Would be nice to join a fellow AT'er for some fun.

I hope you cure your cancer problem. It is a PITA, expecialy around here in the midwest where I am. Thankfully, both my dodge ans zuk are rust free so far. My Jimmy had it bad.

There is a cure for it though. Gibe me POA on your "bill pay" account. That will fix it.
