I would wager close to half the cops there were fine with this shit.
Another amazingly ignorant post by you! The level of stupidity you continue to display on a multitude of topics puts you on a whole other level.
You continue to be the DUMBEST MOTHER FUCKER on p&n.
He apparently can't help being a fucking retard.
You know, if I ever decide to storm the capitol, I totally want that outfit.Lincoln wept!
This thing called context. Learn about it.
Seems like Trump's beerhall putsch.
I would wager close to half the cops there were fine with this shit.
I figured it would happen after a rally.
Yes I predicted that a few months ago.
Or all of them were 50-50. Hard to say, but there's obviously a continuum between "shoot the terrorists" and "we're with you guys". The centre-of-mass here was clearly towards the latter.
Key point about that event was it was badly-organised and a complete-and-utter failure. But the failure to properly punish the ring-leaders proved to be a fatal error in the longer term. The lesson seems obvious.
Yeah but you need a 2/3 majority in the senate and a crime?
Plus don't federal crimes disqualify?
Impeachment as a political act does not require a crime.2/3rds yes, and the chances of reaching that threshold are slim-to-none.
A crime? It's debatable, but probably not. Besides, congress could reference any crime, even one that wasn't committed, and if they vote to impeach that's it. There is no appeal and there is no oversight. In this scenario, just slap on something like "sedition."
Many argue that the president is absolutely immune at all levels, similar to a sovereign, but this doesn't factor into impeachment. Recall that the pretext for Clinton's impeachment wasn't sexual misconduct but perjury at the federal level.
Police always treat older protesters with kid gloves. Oh wait...
Or... a more educated guess would be.... small number of officers firing upon thousands of people isn't generally a smart idea if you hope to contain the uprising.
Trump the POS traitor puts fuel to the fire and just sat back and enjoyed what he had created. - The election was stolen, we know you’re sad and angry, we love you, go home. A most pathetic non-condemnation. I know you guys are angry. You’re right to be. You think we’re fighting for democracy and you’re right. We won that election in a landslide. They’re trying to take it away. They’re trying to run a coup against me, the rightful president. But… you know… listen to cops… go home. Mob boss language. Set up the expectation, then subvert with a weak dismissal to maintain deniability. And Trump unfollows Pence like a high school girl having a spat with her friend. I bet he thinks that was a huge deal.
Declare the republican party a terrorist organization. Unseat every Republican who supported the electoral vote objections. Inciting a riot (18 U.S. Code § 2102) surely qualifies as a high crime or misdemeanor. As soon the Capitol is cleared of insurrectionists and Congress has counted the electoral votes, the House should immediately send articles of impeachment to the Senate before recessing for the day. It won't take to much time if the disqualification penalty is on the table. This absolutely cannot be tolerated. Insurrectionists literally taking over the capitol building. It is a scene out of the Arab fucking Spring and it’s right here in the US. I took a peek at some right wing trash websites and these dipshits are now claiming this is all a false flag operation staged by Democrats To make Trump and his supporters look bad. The entire MAGA movement is a conspiracy to make the MAGA movement look bad. Nothing is real.
Again, this is what it looked like when BLM protested at the capital this summer.
