After seeing his name, I couldn't resist

All kidding aside, the Matrix looks interesting, although I'm not sure I like the name much...I mean, come on marketing team, be a little less original (like the MP3, too)...

hey! im no girly! Thats what my dad wants me to really get tho, so I have to take his consideration cuz he is gonna pay half of the car. I think it's alright. I can rugged it out if I get one. But it's the most expensive and yah i do admit it is a lil "girly" so it's my last choice (not my dad's tho).

As for the Sentra, I test drove one, i think it was a vspec. I think its pretty good, however its too small for my taste. I want a car that I can go snowboarding with (hence the choices pro5, matrix, and rav4). The rear seats has no room.

And if a Rav4 is girly, then so is the sentra! jk

be cool like me and get a sentra and a roof rack (see pics in sig)

i admit its kinda small inside, but its still a blast to drive. And the rav4 is pretty much girly no matter how much you 'rugged' it up. same goes for all the mini suv's.

what is the max you're willing to spend? are used cars out of consideration?

edit: its spec-v not vspec... just me being picky though

I'd go for the Protege5. I'm not sure how the Matrix rides but basing on past Toyota cars, I doubt it will be able to handle well or even match the Protege's ride. The thing Mazda has going for it is fun to drive cars! Their Protege and its variants as well as the Miata are exceptionaly fun cars to drive with exceptional handling! Only problem is that they are underpowered.

And based on looks, I think the Matrix looks like ass. The Protege5 looks sweet though, really nice job by Mazda. Imagine if they put the 13B rotary engine in there...mmmm..rotary goodness in a wagon!

cool Sentra. your AMD sticker is pretty funny hehe. But yah, room is a big factor for me. I'm kinda tall (6 ft) and I get irritated when I always have to sit in the back seat of my cousin's convertible coupe.

For a new car, around $15k (maybe $18k max), according to my dad. And yes i'm also considering used cars, thats around $8,000.

My biggest factors are reliability, style, room, price, economic. Power and speed would be nice but not a big factor.

yah I just test drove the pro5 and I like it a lot. The dealer was letting me go fast on this S-curve and I was impressed. It lives up to my standards: style, room, price, economical, reliability (for the new model proteges). and the handling is a big plus!! The power and speed is good enough for me. They are offering me a good deal too

i say go with the mazda.. its a fun, quasi sporty car.. lots of room and i really like the styling of it (as far as wagons go. I'd drive it) The reliability should be excellent.. They are a little under powered, but i doubt you'd be drag racing it anyways so it shouldnt matter much.

I just test drove the Toyota Corolla 2003. I thought the blue one looked hella nice. Otherwise, same car.

I'm trying to decide between Matrix , Protege5 , and the 2003 Corolla...

Let me know what you decided.

WTH????

Where's the Bruce Lee vs. Coke vs. Protege 5 vs. Matrix thread? There's already
like 5 threads comparing these two cars, why not a sixth?
