I don't think anyone really knows what the safe vcore limit is for a Tbred or Barton. I don't think any overvolting is guaranteed to be safe. What proof is there of a safe vcore limit? The only testing that we have access to is done by us. How many accounts have you read of a Tbred or Barton cpu dying of too much vcore? In the five overclocking forums I visit I have read of one user killing two cpus. That's not a lot to go on.
i've killed like 4 t-bred b's and 1 barton by using too much voltage
most went out around or above 1.75v
also i noticed similar results on air as with subzero water cooling
yes it is a calculated risk
