There is a whole lot missing out this article. For one it says that 258 more people passed the test, but they don't tell you how many were minority or black specifically.

Apparently not enough.

But police departments and especially fire departments have historically had accusations of racism. Some false, but many true.

Clearly the unions are at fault. :whiste:

1. His response is, somewhat regrettably, within what we have been allowing for quite some time in P&N. If you post in P&N you should already know that.

2. You were somewhat accurate advice below on your proper recourse. They are to a) Use the Report Post function at the bottom left of each post, or, to take your issue directly to the moderating staff by posting a complaint in the Moderator Discussions forum. The Personal Forum Issues forum is NOT the correct venue for a complaint against another poster.

3. It is not likely that you were sincere in the wording of your issue in this post. OF COURSE you can report a personal attack by any other poster against you in the two proper channels regardless of that poster's status here. I read your post as a thinly disguised way to question our integrity, and will be infracting you on that basis.

The part that the usual ravers choose to ignore is that the test is used only for admission to the Dayton Police Academy, not directly into the police force. It seems highly likely that any incompetents will be weeded out at the Academy.

But it's a great dog whistle call for bigots to show their sheets, if only a little.

Ever notice that there is a high correlation with "Elite" status and Moderator/Administrator" around here?

You're missing that the reason Dayton is going along witht the DOJ is that if they don't hire enough minorities they don't get their funding from the Feds.
