You need to hook a cable from the internal audio. connector on the AIW to one of the internal inputs on your sound card .

Also I sent you a PM. Did you figure the input from tivo out?

Not familiar with vegas but I have a copy of premiere I will load. Have you loaded the Pinnacle 8 that came with it to see if it detects it properly?

Trying to figure out why your record is greyed but its hard because mine works.
I tried Premiere 6.0 and selected File>capture>movie capture> 720X480 for windows; and signal came in.

Same thing happened to me at first. Make sure MMC is closed. I removed TV from the Quick launch bar. When the warning came up again I closed it and in the capture window I selected "Enable Device Control" and in that window changed "Device Control" from "DV Device Control" to "None". At some point during this another window popped up asking if I wanted to use the device "Rage Theatre blah blah" and I hit apply. Got signal.

I've got almost the same problem. No audio on any videos captured. I also can not use the built in TV tuner to pick up any of my cable channels.

The one thing I did notice is that when I go into Device Manager there is a yellow exclamation point on this: ATI WDM TV Audio Crossbar - This device cannot start. (Code 10)

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling it and nothing. Windows 2K or XP won't start the device. I've used the dongle on the output cable to connect it to the AUX input of my Audigy card and still nothing. I've gone so far as to plug a CD audio cable from the video cards ouput to the AUX input of the sound card and still nothing.

If ATI customer support doesn't give me a satisfactory answer in the next few days as to how to resolve this little problem, I'm gonna drive up to Canada and make someone insert this card where the sun don't shine.

Now I've done it. I don't have any sound on my caps. I did this morning so it must be something simple but damn if I can find it. So if you figure it out before I do please post.

Make sure you have "line in" (or whatever input you used when you "initialized" sound in MMC) selected in the MS recording control. You can leave the recording control open when you start your capture and verify that the input doesn't get muted during the capture.

Its not going to work until you have the WDM drivers properly installed. Have you tried to manually install just the TV audio crossbar? You may have to use driver cleaner and try a clean install if that doesn't work. Make sure you have all the required software installed and read the install notes. When you say it doesn't tune your cable channels, are you taking analog/ non-premium cable <125?

still no audio on captures

Are you "certain" you have your cables connected properly?
This is how you hook up components to your AIW's purple thing. Remember that s-video only carries video signals, so you'll have to use the RCA audio inputs whether you use composite or s-video input.
This is how you connect the AIW to your sound card

Check to make "sure" you have both (1) your component (STB, VCR, camcorder, TIVO)connected to your "purple" A/V connector as above and (2) your AIW connected to your soundcard like the second link.

Mine was working and I haven't changed the cables. It is a setting I changed somewhere I just don't no where. If we are getting audio it is hooked up right. The captures are the problem.

Have you left the "Recording Control" open and verified that the input (the input you selected when initializing the audio in MMC) is selected, and is not muted while capturing?

I got about the answer I expected from ATI tech support. The TV tuner on my card was dead. That's why the ATI WDM TV Audio Crossbar wouldn't initialize and why I couldn't tune any TV chanels (yes <125). I'm on Midcontinent cable service, basic only package.

I called up ZipZoomFly (formerly Googlegear) and got an RMA#. It's leaving for California 2nd day air for a direct replacement. I only wish they'd send it back to me that fast. Ground shipping is going to take 5 working days.

It sucked having to put my Asus V9280TD GeForce 4 Ti4200 back into the machine until the replacement arrives. I did get a little higher frame rates than I did with the Radeon in Unreal Tournament. Not like you'd really notice going from 90 to 117, but still a little higher.

BlakkIce, The no sound problem you're having during capture is a known issue with DirectX 9.0. The tech from ATI said Micro $haft has a patch on their web site to fix that. Just a though!
