I have an epox board, just installed it, athlon 1600, 512 ddr 2700 ram, radeon 32 meg video card, every time i boot i have problems with keyboard/mouse. It will work at first(usually as long as it takes to hit delete to go to setup) then stop working. When it boots to windows neither will work. Cdroms arent working either, anyone run into similar problems?

Which epox board are you using? I've used 2 different ones(8k7a, 8k3a+) and have not encountered this...

try a bios reset, possibly an update.

I've had problems where a bad mouse will dissable the keyboard also, on OLD boards.

I'm running a 8k5a2+ and i could not be happier

A friend of mine had the same problem and it turned out it had something to do with the power and hard disk diodes (can't remember what it was, I think he had to disconnect them for the board to work properly).

I have no idea how to do it
But I do know that the diodes (LEDs) are the lights located behind the front panel of your case that light up when the computer is on and when there is disk activity

Accually, maybe you meant LEDs, but regular diodes (non-light-emiting) control the flow of electricity allowing to only go one way (you did notice LEDs will only work one direction, right?).

And in answer to the original question, I have an epox also and never seen a problem. However like tRaptor, I have seen the keyboard get messed-up by the mouse.

Are you using PS2 or USB? It always did this?
