I have a HP Photosmart 1000 printer. I worked fine when I had Windows '98, now I put on 2000 Pro and no go. I have a usb hub with a bunch of stuff (mouse, burner, scanner, etc.) that all work fine, but when I plug in the printer it restarts the computer. After it reboots it goes right to a blue screen! I called HP support and went through a bunch of crap, and the guy decided it was "an issue with the assigned IRQ's", and wasn't allowed to help witht that. Does anyone have a clue how to fix it? I have heard it could be an issue with the ACPI Power control (I think that is what it's called) and I would need to reinstall 2000 to turn this off.
