GIGABYTE GA-965G-DS3 rev3.3
I love this motherboard!...Too bad it's in my friends new computer.
It was easy to set up, looks like some very simple OC, and pretty colors.
Only we have an issue with the SCSI + Raid controller driver.
The gigabyte Driver on their driver disk, messes up the IDE, and the corresponding DVDRW.(LGSuper-Multi DVD Burner, GSA-H42N-BK)
CDs and DVDs will all read, but not write, and a blank disk won't even be recognized.
After some googling, I found a couple people mentioning the problem, but only one had a solution...
Change the Gigabyte Raid controller driver to "standard dual IDE" driver.
well now the DVDRW will recognize blank DVDs, etc. ... but I still can't burn with it.
I can't use windows drag and drop burn, or Nero to recognize it as more than a -Ram with either driver.
With the Gigabyte Raid driver, I get "Format Unsupported"
and the DVDRW is listed in Hardware as a SCSI.
With the Standard Dual IDE driver, I get "Windows experienced a problem...Retry, Continue, Abort" that never works
here the DVDRW is listed as it should be.
Any Suggestions? I want this computer I built for him to be perfect...

----P.S.-----
Did anyone else get a horrific BIG circle "GIGABYTE" sticker slapped across the top of all three PCI slots? With nice and Über sticky paper, that didn't like to come off?
He has shreds of paper on the middle PCI slot, and I would like to get it off. any suggestions at this part of the board too?:Q
