problem with my sb live

i just reinstalled windows and after i thought i had everything setup, i went to play some CS. when i put my headset on, i noticed the sound was not working. so i checked to see if it was plugged into the right jack (line out #2) and it was. its quite strange becuz before i reinstalled windows, everything was working correctly. any ideas what this could be?

is the device working properly under device manager??

have you try installing the PCI latency patch?

When you installed the SB Live drivers did you choose 2 speaker or 4 speaker setup? Hope this helps.
