Problem with the Anandtech dx comparison

When comparing dx7 with dx9 they used low quality for dx7, My gf4mx looks just as good as the dx9 just bump mapping does not exist, that should be noted in the comparison so it doesnt confuse people into thinking they cant make hl2 look good even with a dx7 card

i highly doubt that it looks as good as directx 9. Without simple bumpmapping those textures look grainy and pretty bad. I've head the game plays fine as far as smoothness goes on an MX card, but i wouldn't settle for anything below directx 8 path minimum.

I have a athlon 64 +3000 with a gf4 mx and yes it does look as good, just no bumpmapping look at the IGN comparison that shows a good comparison
