My old computer was installed with XP. Before I dismantled it, I used XP backup function to back up the whole fold of Documents and Setting to an external hard drive. Then I pulled out the hard drive and put it into my new computer (installed with XP as well) as a second drive.
To my surprise, after I booted into my new system and navigated to the Documents and Setting on the old drive, I cannot access my files on the old drive (I was adminstrator) although I have no problem to see my wife and my son's files (both limited users). I tried to restore my file to a different partition (not current OS partition) but the restored my file is still not accessible.
Both jump setting for hard drives are correct. All other files on the old hard drive are accessible. What is wrong? Right now I don't want restore my file to current OS drive to see if works because it may mix up everything.
Please help and really appreciate!
