I've just reinstalled a computer for a friend, it was using Windows 2000 before and we upgraded the system to Windows XP SP2. Now everything is fine and dandy, we updated pretty much everything (all the windows update and stuff). And then installed Windows Live Messenger (WLM), then the problem started.
The internet is working perfectly, and she can even play online games without any problem, but the WLM always get disconnected every few minutes, and then reconnect itself. I've tried googling for answers but couldn't get any. One hint I've sort of come across is that WLM seems to require router with uPnP capability, now the thing is that my friend's home router does not have uPnP capability (it's an old router) and that seems to be the only guess I can come up with at this point.
So if anyone can suggest any fix for this, it would be appreciated.
