Problem!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here's the specs of my rig:
IC7
P4 3.0c
2x256 corsair PC3500 bh-5
Maxtor 60gb 8mb
GF4 Ti4200

now the problem.......The PC turns on for like a split second and shuts off,it just keeps doing it over and over again....on...off...on...off...you get the point,I reset cmos,replaced the mobo,switched cpu's,tried a different vid card,took all the water **** out and went back to air,and I still get nothing,this rig has never been OC'ed,one day I turned it on and the screen would start blinking black for like a second and then it would stay black longer and longer and till there was no picture,so I restarted the pc and I could hear everything but there was nothing showing up on the monitor,so I replaced the vid card,still nothing,I swapped cpu's nothing,sent mobo in for RMA still nothing,tried a diferent monitor,and still nothing If anyone can help me solve this you'll definately be on my A+ list.I have ran out of ideas so feel free to tell me any suggestions,Thanks

If you could try each critical component in another rig, one bt one, you might find the defective part that way!

Just a thought as you seem to have tried pretty much everything else.

Possibly a PSU problem. Try a different PSU and/or test the PSU. Have you checked it?

Sounds like a faulty heat sink thats not touching the CPU all the way.

Could be but he had problems with both the water and the air cooling. If he setup the water and it ran fine for awhile then suddenly stopped somehow I don't think he is an amateur at case setup. (That is if he is the one to set it up lol). I would check the psu, memory, and heatsink/cpu temps in that order.

Sounds like a good chance it's a PSU problem. What PSU are you using?

could be shorting out the mobo. make sure there is no metal contact with the motherboard(check the IO plate)

correct I am by far no amateur at this,I am just really stumped.I haven't tried a diferent PSU but I have a spare I am gonna try right now.Thanks everyone for replying I'll let you guys know how it goes

This is similar to my problem. I have a Celeron 1.7 on a Gigabyte VIA PT800 board. I tried to upgrade to a P4 2.4 1MB, but no matter what I did, it wouldn' t post. No video at all. CPU fan powers up, HDD ticks over, but it doesn't sound like it gets very far. I tried three different boards, but no go. I got a new power supply. Now I tried a new Celeron D320. Same problem. I pulled the battery on the board to reset CMOS, but no good. Absolutely no video. There's no speaker in my case, so I can't hear any errors.

well I found a 200w psu and hooked up and and BAM it works......damn 550w antec took a crap on me....oh well time to hit the FS section..lol
