Problems installing Win2k in new machine. Please help :(

I just built a new machine; epox 8k7a+, tbird 1.4, 512mb ram, 80gb hd, geforce3, dvd, cd-rw, etc.... and Im having problems installing win2k.

I don't know if my hardware setup/bios is correct so that may be the problem, but here is what happens.

Wink2 setup starts up when I boot with the cd, and at the bottoms it says its doing stuff; seting up certain programs, drivers, etc... then it restarts... and does sets up other things.. then resets... and sets up other things as well.... but then... it keeps restarting and doing the same hting over and over again. it restarts and keeps trying to setup all that same stuff. it reset like 15 times before i decided it wasn't working.

Anyone have any ideas???

During the 1st reboot, take the cd out so it can boot from the hard drive...

Make sure all the hardware in that comp you built is on the HCL for Win2k

If it's not, you'll have more than a few issues getting it installed



This is assuming that taking out the CD doesn't help of course
