Thats a common sound blaster issue. I went to reinstall a SoundBlaster Live! 5.1 Digital soundcard which had the name clearly written right on the card. It had been working just fine thirty minutes earlier before I reformatted and reinstalled Windows, and I did the search by the serial directly listed on the card to find the right webdrivers and it displays "This setup did not find any SoundBlaster Sound cards connected to this system". It's complete BS and I have long since lost the obscure CD-ROM that came with the card two years ago.
SoundBlaster has to have the worst driver support ever, there are some SoundCards they never released any updated drivers for, so in their minds they don't need to have ANY drivers located on the web. Example: My 7.1 SB Live! Card isn't even LISTED on their support site at all due to not having any additional updated drivers other than the ones with the release - I e-mailed Creative to find out what the skinny was on me not being able to obtain drivers for a piece of hardware I purchased from them, and they gave me instructions to PURCHASE a update CD-ROM for $9.99 and informed me that there were no downloaded versions of my drivers. This is utter BS, I should NEVER have to pay for drivers online from a software manufacturer.
