Hi,
I am building a computer that uses the AIW Radeon 7500. I am getting very poor performance in Windows XP. For example, the start menu shows up very slowly and fades very slowly. I am able to fix the problems by going to Display Properties -> Settings -> Advanced -> Troubleshoot and lowering hardware acceleration by one notch. According to the description listed, this action will:
"Disable cursor and bitmap accelerations. Use this setting to correct problems with the mouse pointer, or to correct problems with corrupt images."
I would like to use my hardware acceleration to the fullest... I am using the latest ATI drivers. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?
Here are the rest of my hardware components:
AMD Athlon XP 2000+
512MB Crucial Technologies DDR Ram
Asus A7N766-C nForce Motherboard (Onboard sound, no onboard video)
Western Digital 60GB Hard Drive
Lite-On 16x DVD-ROM
Lite-On 40x CDRW
Thanks for any replies.
