Anyone else have issues with the new drivers?

Civ BE with crossfire had SFR and the two sides of the screens were out of sync
Hunted: The Demons Forge crashes after intro video
Endless Legends crashes after 10 - 15 minutes

Currently rolling back

Have you tried reinstalling the drivers? Also, some games require deleting game files when you update drivers. Not sure if any of these apply?

No, I didn't bother with a reinstall. I went back to the previous driver I was using for now.

I have never had to do the latter ever. I think with 3 out 4 games being affected that I have a tried its not going to be anything with game files.

Had never ran across that problem myself. But I guess there are a lot of games out there.

Crimson seems to run fine on Cinebench R15, it improved a small bit here since I installed it yesterday.

Honestly haven't tried it out in a game I guess.

I've seen it. Just a trouble shooting suggestion. As was doing a clean re-installation of the drivers.

Looks like the issue with Civ BE RT with Mantle and crossfire on 15.11 has been known about for nearly a month. 15.7.1 doesn't have eyefinity bezel correction. I am stuck at 14.12

Still no fix for my screen tearing issues I'm seeing in Civilization: Beyond Earth - Rising Tide while using Mantle on 2 R9 290X crossfired. The problem does not occur with Direct X11. Have been posting this issues for the last 4 beta drivers and haven't heard a word from either AMD or Firaxis. Hilarious as this is a AMD sponsored game using and AMD API."

Is anyone getting issues where there are small square artifacts and missing menu headers in SW:BF, as well as artifacting on the compass icons in Fallout 4 only when you are not in power armor?

I have heard that over 60 fps or crossfire has some issues with FO4 but dont have the game to test.

I swear the fan on my 290 reference type video card runs full speed more often than it did using the Cat generation of drivers. I have the dual bios switch set to slow mode not performace mode. I only play War Thunder right now, in Tank multiplayer mode and have not had any problems.

Yeah check your fan profiles. The original Crimson release locks your fan profile at a set speed so it doesn't turn up or down based on usage, so itll be louder while idling.

Mine will stay at whatever fan speed I last set them at and will not automatically adjust unless I set Afterburner to Auto mode explicitly.

I have a Gigabyte brand/AMD reference card, so I tried Gigabytes own OC utility to set fan profiles. It would work for about 2min at most, then jump from the "manual" program settings I just made to "Auto" settings by itself while I was in game play. The card was no way even close to getting hot, so after some frustration with the program I un-installed the thing. I am playing with the Crimson fan sttings now, and trying to find a setting that does not throttle my GPU a bunch and is not so noisey.

If you're using the reference fan, from my testing the fan noise gets significantly more irritating once you get past about 40-42%. Even 40->47% is pretty big. Right around 40 is the inflection point.

Another forum had testing by users showing nearly no degradation of performance at -15% power tune, and no degradation at all at -10%. Between 38-42% fans, -15% power tune and a -12mv undervolt (but still overclocked to 1ghz from 947), my gpu doesn't exceed 85c and its not all that loud. Doesn't throttle either.

Is the new Crimson software really worse than the normal AMD driver issues? I keep seeing bad juju about it

Not sure whats happening, gpu-Z no longer updates/logs correct fan speed or percentage of fan speed on my system. It only shows fan @38% and fan speed at 1760rpm plus/ minus 30rpm even though I hear it spool up.

makes it kinda hard to monitor any changes I make. Think il go back to the last/latest Catylist driver.

Weird, need to have Gigabyte OC-Guru installed before gpu-Z will read correct fan speed and fan RPM. WTF's up with that? still using Crimson drivers, but I don't remember that being the case with Catylist. Maybe now the fan speed changes I make with Crimson will work.
